I personally deeply value and honor each client’s unique journey and perspective. I firmly believe that every individual has a story to tell, shaped by their own life experiences, beliefs, and emotions. This core belief forms the bedrock of my approach to therapy.

As a psychologist, I encourage my clients to set clear goals in therapy. It’s like having a destination in mind before starting a journey, helping clients stay on track and see progress along the way. Often, when clients are asked what they expect from therapy, they tend to focus on what they don’t want to feel, rather than articulating what they do want. For example, they might say, “I don’t want to feel anxious” instead of expressing, “I want to feel calm and confident”, and when it comes to relationships, clients may say, “I don’t want to keep fighting with my partner” instead of expressing, “I want to improve communication and strengthen our bond”. Recognizing this tendency, I make it a priority to guide my clients in identifying their positive goals and aspirations for therapy. By shifting the focus from what they want to avoid to what they want to achieve, we can create a more proactive and empowering approach to their healing journey.

In my sessions, I listen to my clients with empathy and without judgment, creating a safe space for them to share their thoughts and feelings openly. My clients’ needs and preferences are always my top priority. Once I identify their needs, I inform them about the treatment plan, so they understand what’s going on every step of the way. We work together to come up with a plan that works for them. Ultimately, therapy is all about them and what they need.

As your psychologist, I’m not just here to listen; but to engage in a meaningful dialogue. Your thoughts and feelings are not only valid but crucial to our discussions. What’s on your mind right now? How have you been feeling lately? Do you need anyone to listen to you without judgment? Share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with, and together, we’ll navigate this journey toward well-being. So, where shall we begin today?
